| Matty rarely featured during season 2020/21 due to injury after having an injury free previous season in the heart of the Montrose defence. A versatile defender who can play at right back, sweeper or in central defence, he was part of the SPFL team of the year in season 2017/18. Matty joined Montrose in June 2017 after completing a two loan spells at Links Park. The 25 year old spent the first half of season 2015/16 at Links Park, featuring 15 times for Paul Hegarty’s side, and only returned to Dens Park due to injury. He returned again for season 16/17 featuring a further 13 times before being released by Dundee. Allan is a product of the Dundee youth academy who regularly featured in the Development League.
