AARON LENNOX (Goalkeeper) ![]() Aaron joined Montrose in the summer of 2019 after being released by Partick Thistle, having spent the latter half of season 2018/19 on loan to Cowdenbeath. Lennox has previously played for Queens Park Rangers, Maidenhead United, Concord Rangers, Hayes & Yeading United, Aberdeen and Raith Rovers. He has represented Australia numerous times at youth level. Made 23 appearances in his first season at Links Park before signing a fresh one year contract. Age 26 |

CAMMY BALLANTYNE (Right back) ![]() There was much delight at Links Park when Montrose announced the return of League championship winning right back Cammy after the conclusion of the 2018/19 season. The right back having spent the 2018/19 season with fellow League One side Dumbarton. Cammy originally joined United from Westwood in East Kilbride, He played with East Kilbride Youth Club before joining the youth ranks at United in 2007. He then agreed professional terms at Tannadice, signing a three year contract on June 26, 2013 and left school at Duncanrig Secondary to pursue his football career. He featured regularly for the United U20 side and the Development Squad, while also playing for Scotland at U17 level. In 2014, Cammy represented his country in the qualifying and the final stages of the U17 European Championship, reaching as far as the semi final of the tournament. He made his United first team debut as a substitute in May 2016 towards the end of the 2015-16 season and that same month, he agreed a one year contract extension. During the 2016-17 pre-season, Cammy was promoted to the first team under manager Ray McKinnon before going out on loan to Montrose for the next two seasons. Whilst at Montrose Cammy was also on the bench for Scotland U/21’s against Estonia in March 2017. Cammy deservedly picked up a League winners medal at the end of season 2017/18 and has now made over 90 appearances for the club in his four spells at the club. Age 22 |

ANDREW STEEVES (Left Back) ![]() Andrew is now entering his sixth season at Links Park and has made over 200 appearances for the club since his arrival on loan from Forfar Athletic in March 2015. He was an ever present as Montrose won the League Two League title in season 2017/18 playing in every minute of every league match. His form that season saw him grab a place in the SPFL team of the year and SPFA team of year. Andrew spent three months out of the side after suffering a serious knee injury in the cup against Lothian Thistle in November 2015 but still went on to claim the Directors Player of the Year and Fans Favourite trophies at the end of his first full season at the club. A popular player at the club he can play both left back and central defence. The twenty five year old Dundee based player moved to Station Park after being released by St. Johnstone. He finally broke his scoring duck with the club with a 30 yard screamer in the home win over Edinburgh City in April 2017 and last season scored three times in four matches in December to pick up the League 1 Player of the Month award. His day job sees him as a coach in the Dundee United Youth Academy. |

SEÁN DILLON (Centre half) ![]() Montrose fought off the competition of a number of clubs in secure the signing of ex Dundee United captain Sean in June 2017 on a two-year deal until the summer of 2019. This has since been extended to May 2021. His experience was a major part in the Gable Endies securing the League title at the end of the season. Sean being another ever present in the side. ‘Dillo’ was named as the Ladbrokes League 2 player of season as well as played a place in the SPFL team of the year which was made up entirely of the Montrose defence! The Dublin born Irishman has not only have a playing role at Links Park but he is also first team coach, joining Stewart Petrie’s backroom staff. Before joining United, Dillon played for Irish teams Longford Town and Shelbourne in the League of Ireland and also represented the Republic of Ireland at U16, U21 and B international level. Moving to Scotland in January 2007, Sean became Craig Levein’s first signing and went on to make 346 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and memorably lifting the Scottish Cup in 2010 after beating Ross County 3–0. He ended his ten year stint with Dundee United in May 2017 after a successful testimonial year and a match against Hearts. He also played his part in United’s unsuccessful attempt at a return to the Premiership after the side failed to negotiate through the end of season play offs. Age 37 |

AIDAN QUINN (Centre half) Very promising youngster who joined Montrose in October 2019 from East of Scotland League side Heriot Watt University, where he was captain, Aidan was immediately loaned back to Heriot Watt before returning to Links Park in January. He made a memorable debut against league champions Raith Rovers at Starks Park on 25th January when he came on as a half time substitute before assisting and scoring in the 4 – 3 defeat. The 21 year old has slotted into the Montrose defence when called upon making a further five appearances before the season came to an early end. Big and powerful with great close control. |

MATTY ALLAN (Defender) ![]() Matty made his return to the heart of the Montrose defence last season after an injury hit 2018/19 season making over 30 appearances scoring twice. He then signed a new contract to keep him at Links Park until the summer of 2021. A versatile defender who can play at right back, sweeper or in central defence, he was part of the SPFL team of the year in season 2017/18. He joined Montrose in June 2017 after completing a two loan spells at Links Park. The 23 year old spent the first half of season 2015/16 at Links Park, featuring 15 times for Paul Hegarty’s side, and only returned to Dens Park due to injury. He returned again for season 16/17 featuring a further 13 times before being released by Dundee. Allan is a product of the Dundee youth academy who has regularly impressed in the Development League. |

KERR WADDELL (Centre half) ![]() Kerr signed a two year contract with Montrose in the summer of 2019 ending manager Stewart Petrie search for a replacement for Michael Bolochoweckyj. Waddell is a product of Dundee's youth academy. Having featured regularly for Dundee's U20 side, including playing in a Challenge Cup tie against Cove Rangers, Waddell was named among the substitutes for a handful of senior league games during the 2016/17 season, without making an appearance. In March 2017, Waddell, along with Dundee teammate Kyle Gourlay, signed on loan for Scottish League Two club Clyde until the end of the season. Waddell made his competitive debut for Dundee on 18 July 2017, against Raith Rovers in the Scottish League Cup. He went on to start Dundee's next three League Cup group stage matches, as the club progressed to the knockout rounds as runners-up to rivals Dundee United. Waddell scored his first goals in his senior career in a 2–1 win against Hearts. Waddell moved on loan to Scottish Championship club Greenock Morton in July 2018 and spent the season at Cappielow. On 30 June 2019, Waddell left Dundee following the expiry of his contract. An injury hit first season at Montrose saw him unable to feature after November due to injury. Age 22 |

IAIN CAMPBELL (Left back) ![]() Was appointed coach at Links Park last season after the departure of Martyn Fotheringham the 36 year old returned to Montrose in July 2017 having originally left at the end of season 2016/17. Iain first joined Montrose in August 2016 after leaving Forfar Athletic in the summer. Iain made his debut in the Irn Bru Cup win over East Stirlingshire. The Kirkcaldy born defender started his career in 2002 with Dunfermline Athletic where he made 36 appearances for the Fife side. In 2006, he moved to fellow SPL club Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee and during his time there spent loan spells with both Ross County and Clyde. In 2008 Campbell had one season with Alloa Athletic before joining Forfar Athletic where he enjoyed five seasons making 148 appearances and 13 goals. Briefly moving to Cowdenbeath in 2014 before returning to Station Park, initially on loan, he resigned for The Loons in 2015. Son of Dick Campbell, Iain has played under his father twice, at Ross County and Forfar and now joins forces with his brother, Ross the Montrose assistant manager. Great with set plays especially corner and free kicks. |

LIAM CALLAGHAN (Midfield) ![]() Liam signed for Montrose in January 2017 and was managers Stewart Petrie’s first signing for the club. Signed a fresh contract in the summer to tie him to the club until May 2022.The 24 year old from Kelty came through the youth ranks at Cowdenbeath during which time he trialed at Birmingham City. Eventually breaking into the Blue Brazil first team, Liam made 26 appearances before moving to Arbroath. Despite featuring 13 times last season for our Angus neighbours, most of these were from the bench and when Mo boss Stewart Petrie came calling, Dick Campbell was persuaded to give the youngster a chance at Links Park. He is naturally left sided and can play both in defence and across midfield. Liam comes from a family with a strong footballing pedigree with his father Willie having played for Montrose in the 90's, his grandfather Willie Snr having played for Scotland in the 60's and his grandfather’s brother, Tommy having played for Celtic in the 70's.Close to 100 appearances for Montrose and a big part of the Links Park dressing room. |

LEWIS MILNE (Midfield)
Lewis returned to Montrose in January 2019 after spending six months with Raith Rovers. It was Lewis’s twelve goals (in a four month period) from midfield that played a major part in securing the league title for Montrose in season 2017/18. His tally included scoring a hat trick against Stirling Albion in a 5 – 0 away win in April at Forthbank. Born in Edinburgh, Milne began his footballing career at Dunfermline Athletic, playing for the club's youth setup in 2007–08 season. He then signed with Cowdenbeath in October 2008, playing in their youth setup and signing a professional deal in July 2010. On 7 May 2011 he made his first team debut, playing the last 24 minutes in a 0–3 away loss against Ross County. In March 2012 Milne signed a new two-year deal with Cowdenbeath. He scored his first professional goal on 6 October, in a 1–1 away draw against Livingston. After 8 years at Central Park, Milne signed for Forfar Athletic in June 2016. Lewis spent one season with Forfar Athletic, before deciding to move to Australia. Milne returned from Australia in November 2017, signing a short-term deal with Forfar. After this expired, he moved to Angus rivals Montrose at the beginning of January 2018. Milne left Montrose to go full-time with Raith Rovers, but he did not hold down a regular first-team place with the Kirkcaldy club and returned to Montrose. Age 25 |

CAMMY F BALLANTYNE (Midfield)
Talented young St Johnstone midfielder Cammy Ballantyne has returned to Links Park on a season long loan.The 20 year old arrived at Links Park from the Premiership outfit almost a year ago to the day on a half season loan that was extended in January, allowing the former Hibs youth to make 20 appearances before the campaign was cut short.Providing drive, energy and craft to the midfield, and becoming an instant hit with the Mo faithful, Ballantyne also carried a threat up front, netting his first senior goal in a 4-3 home win against Peterhead in February.Cammy becomes Petrie's first new signing, adding to the existing 18 strong squad from last term.

CRAIG JOHNSTON (Forward) ![]() Craig joined Montrose in May 2017 from Cowdenbeath days after helping the Central Park side preserve their place in League football. A prolific scorer for their under 19s he broke into the Cowdenbeath first team squad in 2014. He originally joined Cowden as a 10 year old back in August 2005 before switching to Dunfermline Athletic in March 2007. Craig made his Montrose debut in a Betfred Cup tie against Hibernian and teamed up at Links Park with his cousin Liam Callaghan. Scored seven goals for Montrose in their first season back in League One before his season was ended with a foot injury. Hit a further three goals last including a double in the final home game of the season a 4 – 1 victory over Stranraer. A real dressing room character. Age 24 |

RUSSELL McLEAN (Forward) Rusty arrived at Links Park on transfer deadline day in January 2019 signing from Peterhead for an undisclosed fee. Russell started his career with Alloa Athletics’ youth academy before moving to Hearts. After his spell at Hearts ended he moved to Lowland League side East Kilbride Thistle with his goalscoring form not going unnoticed earning him a move to Peterhead. It was during season 2017/18 that he scored 17 goals as Peterhead where pipped to the league title by ourselves. His time at Montrose has been injury hit although he did score his first goal for the club in a 1 – 0 win at Stranraer in our final match of the 2019/20 season. Under contract until May 2021 |

Montrose agreed an undisclosed fee with Stirling Albion in late January for the transfer of Lewis on a permanent deal until the end of the season which has been extended until the end of the 2020/21 season. |

MARTIN RENNIE (Forward)
Montrose FC have completed the signing of former Gable Endie Martin Rennie on transfer deadline day, following the strikers recent release from Irish Premier Division outfit, St Patrick’s Athletic FC. Having left Links Park back in January, as the Clubs first ever international transfer, the move across the Irish Sea to full time football didn’t quite work out for the 26 year old, hindered greatly by the onset, soon after his arrival, of the pandemic lockdown. On hearing the news of his release over the weekend, Manager Stewart Petrie moved quickly to bring the frontman back on a 2 year deal. The Kirkcaldy born striker netted 20 times in 74 appearances for Petrie’s side after joining from Junior side Lochgelly Albert in January 2018, but to the Mo faithful he will always be remembered for his vital assist to Jamie Redman’s league winning goal against Elgin in April 2018.
