BOB ENJOYS GRAND NEW YEAR AS MONTROSE LUCKY NUMBERS PAYOUT HITS £100,000
Local man Bob Dryden had more than one reason to celebrate the New Year last week when his numbers came up on the Montrose Football Lucky Numbers, netting him a tidy £1,650.
This latest Jackpot win takes the total prize money paid out by the scheme, which raises money to support local football, to an incredible £100,000.
Run jointly by Montrose FC, Montrose Roselea JFC and Merpro AFC, the scheme began back in 2008 and Promoter Stuart Robertson is extremely proud of what it has achieved.
Stuart said, “The beauty of a locally run scheme like this is that it creates a real win-win for the community. Not only does the prize money go to people you know, the money raised by the scheme, which is now over £125,000, goes towards supporting local football.
“The most exciting times are when the Jackpot builds up to a few thousand pounds. It becomes the talk of the town and everybody wants to buy an extra 2 or 3 tickets.”

Tickets for the weekly draw can be bought from Alan Pirie or Andrew Stephen.
