MO LOAN PROMISING YOUNGSTERS TO HIGHLAND LEAGUE
Both youngsters featured in the recent Betfred Cup Group Stage for the Gable Endies and Boss Stewart Petrie is keen for them to get more game time under their belts.
Stewart said, “Kyle and Matty have acquitted themselves really well in recent matches. It has been a tough period for us with injuries and holidays and the number of games we have had. I have relied on all the youngsters more than I would have wanted, but they have certainly not let me down, and both Kyle and Matty have shown real potential.
Both players are fruits of the Clubs youth academy, with Willox joining in 2014 from Albion Boys. The 19 year old spent the first half of last season on loan to Inverurie Locos before moving to Deveronvale in January.
The defender made his debut for the Gable Endies as a sub against East Stirlingshire in thefirst round of the Irn Bru Cup last season and made his full debut two weeks later in the second round away to Turriff United. This season, Kyle has played three matches in the Betfred Cup including starting against Ross County.
Matty started his career at Aberdeen in 2008 aged 10 before joining Montrose in 2013. The 19 year old has spent the last two seasons on loan to Aberdeen Junior side Hall Russell United. The midfielder has also played three times in the Betfred Cup, making his full debut against Ross County before coming on as a substitute against Arbroath and starting against Alloa Athletic.
