» Michael Andrews

Michael Andrews (Goalkeeper)
Montrose pulled off a major coup when they completed the signing of goalkeeper Michael, a current Scotland Under 21 internationalist in July. The 21 year old had spent last season on loan at East Stirlingshire from Falkirk before being surprisingly released in the summer. He was an ever present at Ochilview last season. A target of manager Farningham all summer Montrose had to wait to get their man after Michael played trials with both Inverness CT and Queen of the South. Michael has been capped twice for Scotland at Under 18 level, eight times at Under level and in March this year he made his Under 21 debut in a 1 – 0 defeat away to Belgium. Michael came on for the final five minutes for Grant Adam in a Scotland side that contained Callum Booth, Paul Hanlon, Leigh Griffiths, James Forrest and Jonathan Russell. Haddington based Andrews is a commanding keeper who has a great kick from either foot.
