JOHN MAITLAND (Midfield) John joined Montrose in 2007 from Inverurie club Colony Boys Club and his form over the year has seen him move from the Under 17’s side through to the first team. He made his first team debut as a substitute against East Stirlingshire in April 2007 and he made a further appearance before the season’s end. Manager Jim Weir handed him a professional contract in the summer of 2007 after his good showings in pre season. Made is full debut for the club at Stenhousemuir in January 2008. A strong powerful midfielder with an eye for goal. John signed a new two year deal with the club in the summer. Age 19.
