GARrY WOOD (Forward)
In January 2012 Montrose moved into the transfer market to complete the signing of striker Garry Wood who had been released by Ross County. The 23 year old Aberdeen based player had a spell on loan to Montrose in season 2007/08 when he scored eleven goals in 27 + 4 appearances, scoring in the play off semi final against Stranraer. Garry then left to return to Inverness Caledonian Thistle where he spent a season playing in the Scottish Premier League. After leaving Inverness he went on sign for Ross County and made his debut against Montrose in the League Cup. He spent two seasons at Dingwall and scored a hat trick in the Scottish Cup against Stirling Albion. After suffering an injury in pre season he spent a short time on loan at Peterhead playing against Montrose in our 2 – 1 win in October.
