AWAY TRAVEL
 
v Stranraer, 29th August,  Kick off 3.00pm
 
Road:  Head south on the M77/A77, following signs for Ayr. Continue south, passing Ayr, until you reach the "Whitletts" roundabout. From here, follow signs for Stranraer. Then take the first exit on the left (McMasters Road) to Stranraer. You will pass Stranraer Academy on your right. Now turn right into London Road. Continue along this road until you see a public park on your left (almost opposite Stranraer Academy). The main stand is visible from the road. You can turn left into Stair Park - parking is free on match days.
 
Public Transport: A train leaves Montrose at 8:18, heading for Glasgow Queen Street, arriving at 10:14. Then you walk to Glasgow Central to catch a train to Stranraer. This train leaves Glasgow Central at 11:42 arriving in Stranraer at 13:56. Stranraer train station is a 15 minute walk away from the ground. From the train station you should walk up to the ferry terminal building, opposite North West Castle Hotel. Turn left and walk about 150 yards to the 'Craig n Elder' Hotel. Turn right onto Stair Drive. At the end of Stair Drive turn left. This takes you onto London Road and walk for about 200 yards and Stair Park is on the right hand side actually inside the public park. The earliest train from leaving Stranraer is at 7:40 heading for Glasgow Central, arriving at 21:55. However, there is no train back to Montrose available at this time. Therefore it is best to make a night of it in Glasgow and get a train home on Sunday.
 
Admission: Main Stand Adults £12 and OAPs £6 and Terracing Adults £10 and OAPs £5. Juveniles 16 and under is £2. Kids Under 12 - Free Entry when accompanied by an Adult Kids Under 5 - Free Entry. Disabled fans please contact the club, (Stranraer FC), in advance (01776703271) where suitable arrangements can be made for entry and admission price.
