 Montrose Football Club’s December to forget continued on Saturday at Shielfield Park Berwick when they slumped to their fourth successive league defeat.
The defeat was even harder to take considering that the Gable Endies were leading 2 – 0 at half time and the home side were reduced to ten men at the start of the second period. Even from that winning position the side somehow managed to contrive to lose the match.
Montrose remain some two points off a play off spot, but on his current form don’t look anything like a side fighting for a place in the second division next season.
The Gable Endies go into Saturday’s away New Year derby at Station Park looking for a morale boosting win against a Forfar Athletic team the last side they defeated on 22nd November.
