Bobby Livingstone

Bobby Livingstone signed for Montrose from Aberdeen Sunnybank in the summer of 1967 by Norrie Christie. He went on to play 288 + 31 ganes and score 126 goals* for the only ever senior club he played for, despite a lot of interest from a lot of clubs over the years. A linchpin from the famous mid-seventies side. 'Livvy' played in many of the memorable games over that period including the league cup semi-final with Rangers at hampden in 1975 and the titanic struggle with Hearts in the three game Scottish Cup quarter final in 1976.
Bobby went on to manage the club following Kenny Cameron in 1979 (the centenary season) and can take the credit for giving John Sheran, ary Murray, etc, extended first team action and for signing Neil Forbes.
Regarded by many as the finest player ever to wear a Montrose jersey, Bobby was "The King of the Dynamo."
