» 125 Years Celebrations

November 2004 was the 125th anniversary of the founding of Montrose Football Club.
A committee, made up of representatives from the Board of Directors, Commercial Committee, Supporter’s Club and the Gable Endies Trust, was been formed to make the necessary arrangements for the anniversary celebrations.
The season 2004/05 was commemorated with a number of events, kicking off with the match against Aberdeen in July 2004.
To mark the occasion a souvenir programme was also published, covering 125 years of senior football in Montrose. This incorporated player interviews, fan’s stories, photographs etc.
There was also be a formal dinner in November 2004 to commemorate the first match and 125th anniversary souvenir merchandise was available during season 2004/05.
The celebrations ended with a Gala Day at Links Park in May 2005.
